Message from the CEO
The Out-of-Home industry has been enjoying a period of growth and consolidation following the successful launch
last year of the new audience measurement system MOVE (Measurement of Outdoor Visibility and Exposure).
We envisage that MOVE will help the sector grow its market share from the current rate of 4% to 6% in the next couple of years, as a direct result of the audience figures provided by the system - which is a world first in measurement of all the major Out-of-Home formats. MOVE introduces a new currency of Likelihood-To-See (LTS) and results prove that the Out-of-Home formats delivered by our members are a valuable medium to reach target markets.
We will continue to work with the Out-of-Home and Advertising industries to promote the use of clever, smart and excellent creative campaigns, as well as developing opportunities for greater impact through product innovation and the use of the latest digital technology.
Our membership is growing and we now represent more than 97% of revenue generated from outdoor advertising in Australia. An increasing number of suppliers are among those joining, providing broader input and insights into this growing industry.
Our relationships with our stakeholders have strengthened as we continue to build on earlier programs and initiatives such as our annual $15,000 Young Planner Scholarship, our ongoing consultations with key government stakeholders and our environment and community initiatives. This includes our proud partnership with The Big Issue, an organisation dedicated to assisting homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged people to earn an income and integrate into the community.
