Sponsorships
Support for community campaigns is provided both by the Outdoor Media Association and individual members.
In 2008 the OMA donated over $1 million in advertising space to support The Big Issue and to promote the 2008 Melbourne Homeless World Cup which was held in December. In 2009 the partnership continued with a commitment in excess of $1 million over May and June promoting the campaign "You pay five. I earn half. Everybody feels good".
Individual members have also donated over $10 million in advertising space to other community groups including Wesley Mission, Oxfam, Beyond Blue, Kids Help Line, Abused Children's Trust, Camp Quality, Murdoch Children's Institute, Fred Hollows Foundation, Mission Australia and the Eye Foundation.
Local campaigns supported by individual operators include Keep Australia Beautiful, Arts Festivals, Tidy Towns and Clean Beaches competitions. Members provide other support to their own local and community groups.
