Attendees heard from business leaders Lyn Lewis-Smith OAM (Director, Business NSW) and Kristie Millgate (General Manager, Dermalogica), as well as Tess Phillips (JCDecaux), who shared insights from her participation in the WOO Mentorship program.
Each attendee was also invited to contribute an idea to help grow Out of Home, building a collective vision for the industry’s future.
"I was energised to see such a variety of our members represented at our first OUTGrow series yesterday as well as other powerful women in the room," OMA and MOVE CEO Elizabeth McIntyre said.
"The OUTGrow series is about growing externally as an industry and internally within ourselves, creating a forum where new ideas could be welcomed, discussed and considered.
"In conjunction with the Women in World Out of Home global movement that seeks to address the lack of women in C-Suite positions, the inaugural Women in World Out of Home global mentoring program featuring mentors and mentorees globally was completed in June 2026 and set to run again in 2027.
"We were fortunate to have Tess Philips from JCDecaux who spoke at OUTGrow about her experience as a mentoree and the perspective she gained from it.
"I know from the engagement and participation during both Lyn Lewis-Smith OAM and Kristie Millgate's speeches how much everyone learnt from their advice and journey around confidence in leadership and how to navigate next steps in your career - with some additional fantastic tips!
"I’ve loved reading today everyone’s ideas as to how we can OUTGrow the Out of Home industry."
