Top business leaders to inspire at OUTGrow

Events in Sydney (Oct 21), Brisbane (Nov 10) and Melbourne (Nov 19) will bring together a small group of emerging leaders to hear from Elizabeth McIntyre, CEO of OMA and MOVE, alongside guest speakers who are leaders in their field.

 

Business NSW Director Lyn Lewis-Smith OAM and Dermalogica General Manager Kristie Millgate will speak in Sydney with pre-eminent lawyer, business leader and non-executive director Katrina Rathie speaking in Brisbane, while Webjet Group CEO and Managing Director Nicole Sheffield is the special guest in Melbourne.

 

“OUTGrow is about creating the conversations, connections and opportunities that help emerging female leaders in Out of Home build their careers and step confidently into leadership,” McIntyre said.

Sydney | Kristie Millgate  
Kristie Millgate is the General Manager of Dermalogica Australia, bringing extensive experience in the professional skincare and beauty industry. Beginning her career as a beauty therapist, Kristie joined Dermalogica in 2009 as a Business Consultant, supporting salon owners and skincare professionals to grow their businesses.

 

She went on to lead state-based teams before moving into national leadership. Passionate about education, entrepreneurship and empowering professional skin therapists, Kristie plays a key role in driving Dermalogica’s growth and strengthening its partnerships across the Australian beauty industry. 

 

Sydney | Lyn Lewis Smith OAM

Lyn Lewis-Smith OAM is an accomplished business leader, Chair and Non-Executive Director with extensive experience across business, government, academia and the not-for-profit sector.

 

As former CEO of BESydney, Lyn led a global team across Europe, North America and Asia, positioning Sydney as a leading destination for major international business events and securing conferences across sectors including technology, infrastructure, health, education and advanced manufacturing.

 

Lyn is a Fellow and Adjunct Professor at UTS, Co-Chair of the UTS Business School Advisory Board, and a Non-Executive Director and State Councillor of Business NSW. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women.

 

Brisbane | Katrina Rathie

Ms Katrina Rathie FAICD is an Independent Non-Executive Director and award-winning lawyer. Currently she serves on the Boards of SBS (where she Chairs the Codes Committee), Asia Society Australia, Knight Frank Australia and the Advisory Board of Media Diversity Australia. She was named Chair of the Year (Small Company) in the AFR 2025 Director of the Year Awards for her former role as Chair of ASX listed Bubs Australia Limited.

 

Katrina had a distinguished career in the law, including as Partner in Charge, Sydney at law firm Mallesons, with her principle areas of practice being advertising, marketing, IP and media law. She was named the Overall Winner of the Board & Management category in the AFR 100 Women of Influence List (2019) recognised for her outstanding contributions to leadership in the law, advancement of gender and cultural diversity across Australia and Asia. Katrina is a Fellow of the AICD and a Member of Chief Executive Women.

 

Melbourne | Nicole Sheffield

Nicole Sheffield is Group CEO and Managing Director of Webjet Group. An accomplished executive with more than 25 years' experience, she has led commercial growth, business transformation and digital innovation across some of Australia's most recognised consumer and technology businesses.

 

Prior to joining Webjet Group, Nicole was Managing Director of Wesfarmers OneDigital, where she led the Group's enterprise data and digital strategy, including OnePass, Catch and its shared data platform. She has also held senior executive roles at Australia Post and News Corp Australia, including Chief Digital Officer and Chief Executive Officer of NewsLifeMedia, following earlier leadership positions with Seven West Media and TIAS.

 

Nicole has served on numerous boards and advisory bodies, including as Chair of the Australian Retail Council, the ABC Advisory Council, and the Interactive Advertising Bureau Australia. She holds degrees in arts, law and business, and is a member of Chief Executive Women.
