Work health and safety
Community and regulation
The Out of Home (OOH) industry remains vigilant and progressive in matters of Work Health and Safety (WHS).
In addition to operating a WHS committee to identify and manage key issues, the Outdoor Media Association (OMA) has developed an industry-specific and customised Occupational Health & Safety Program, which aims to:
- Improve risk management of supervisors and educate them about improved communication with employees.
- Improve accuracy levels of risk assessments and risk control records.
- Create an ongoing resource that addresses language barriers for employees working in high-risk situations.
Members should consult each state's regulator for current information on state legislation for injury management and rehabilitation.
